It is time to make some kids smile.
Let’s bring some holiday cheer to some kids this Christmas.
Guardian Farm is located in a small Pueblo in Peru. The homes are simple, tin roofs, many have dirt floors and meals are cooked often over an open fire on the floor. We are a small farming community.
These gifts bring a lot of joy. This year we are buying stuffed animals, small cars, and drawing supplies, coloring books and hopefully some long sleeve polo shirts. Our intention is to host about 80 kids and their families at the farm for a warm vegetarian meal, hot chocolate and sweet bread (a local tradition) and a gift for each child. We will also give some gifts in the high mountain pass nearby where the families are very poor and the families do not have cars and live in small rock houses.
Can you help us spread some joy?
When a child only has one stuffed animal or one toy these small gifts make a big difference.
Thank you for everyone who has supported this in the past - this happens because of you.
This year two local woman will manage the gift giving with the Guardian Farm volunteers and will do all the shopping (they will stay one night in Cusco). We will not have the big party at the farm where we host and feed over 150 kids and their families. Instead, we will go directly to the communities most in need and distribute gifts, hot chocolate + sweet bread which is a tradition here.
All the funds go directly to the kids (minus whatever fees PayPal takes + taxis, travel fees).
With Love,
Sarah Sherman
Our goal is 150 kids, with a budget of 125 soles per child. Any extra funds will go directly to hosting additional children, last year we gifted over 250 children from 3 communities and we are happy to do that again.
