Illustrated Domain’s challenge was to build a complex website worthy of that scale: one that could make thousands of potential migration paths easy to explore, connect visitors with the right expertise, and grow alongside the platform.
Building a Website for Thousands of Legal Software Decisions
How Illustrated Domain turned Universal Migrator’s complex migration data into a clear, scalable experience. A law firm changing software has more than one question to answer. What can be moved out of its current system? Which destination platforms are available? What will the migration involve, and who can help do it?
Universal Migrator needed a website that could answer those questions across many combinations of software and services. A conventional set of manually built pages would be difficult to navigate and even harder to maintain. The challenge was to make a large, interconnected body of information feel straightforward to the person using it.
Illustrated Domain designed and built the new platform in Wix Studio, combining UX strategy, an interconnected CMS architecture, and custom Velo functionality.
Making the right path easy to find
That structure carries through the site’s navigation and dynamic pages. Visitors can explore a source platform, review relevant destinations and migration details, then move toward a conversation with Universal Migrator. Related information appears in context, so users do not have to piece together answers from disconnected pages.
One content system, many useful pages
Behind the interface is a multi-collection CMS architecture that connects software platforms, migration pathways, profiles, and supporting content. Those relationships power hundreds of dynamic pages while giving Universal Migrator a practical way to manage and expand the information.
We used custom Velo development for dynamic routing, filtering, and contextual page behavior. The result is a site that can present specific answers for different migration scenarios without requiring the team to maintain each page as a separate build.
Built for the work ahead
Illustrated Domain handled the project from information architecture and UX through design, CMS development, custom coding, responsive implementation, and launch. The finished site gives Universal Migrator a polished public presence and a foundation for adding new pathways and content as its platform grows.
For us, the strongest part of this build is the relationship between the visible experience and the system underneath it. Visitors see clear choices and relevant information. Universal Migrator has a structured platform capable of supporting the complexity behind those choices.
